Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 4

This annual side‑by‑side concert brings together the Fargo Moorhead Symphony Orchestra and the Fargo Moorhead Area Youth Symphonies in a shared performance. Benjamin Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra offers a vivid exploration of orchestral sound.

The program also features the Fall 2026 winner of the Thoreson Steffes Young Artist Solo Competition, who performs their winning selection with the orchestra.

The concert includes Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4, a large‑scale symphonic work known as one of the most powerful and recognizable works in the orchestral repertoire.
