January 28, 2017: Auditions for section viola
The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra is a professional, per-service orchestra which performs five pairs of Masterworks concerts, daytime Young People's Concerts, a summer outdoor concert, and occasional other programs. All applicants are required to demonstrate either U.S. citizenship or a legal eligibility to accept employment with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra.
Candidates must be US citizens, or be otherwise eligible for employment in the United States.
The SECTION VIOLA position will be auditioned on the morning of January 28. Application deadline: January 16. Postmark no later than January 14.
General Audition Repertoire:
Unless a specific solo is stated in the appropriate repertoire list below, each candidate should prepare a two-minute solo demonstrating lyrical and technical abilities, in addition to the excerpts.
Percussionists have no solo requirement, but will be expected to sightread.
