Every year, the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra performs during the school day for all the fourth graders in the Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo public schools, as well as elementary students from private and public schools within a 60-mile radius.

The 2019 Young People's Concerts are set for 9:10 am, 10:30 am and 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16, at NDSU Festival Concert Hall, under the direction of Associate Conductor Jane Linde Capistran. These concerts are designed to introduce children to the various instruments of the orchestra at a time when they are considering which instrument they might like to study in their school programs. Instructional materials are sent out to elementary teachers several weeks in advance of the concerts, and the repertoire performed at the concerts highlight each of the sections of the orchestra - strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion.

For more information, or to schedule your students to attend, please e-mail FMSO Executive Director Linda Boyd.
