WHAT IS URBAN OVERTURE?
Urban Overture is an informal gathering to learn more about the weekend's concert offering. Guests can partake in the wine tasting provided by Bernie’s Wines & Liquors while enjoying hors d'oeuvres.
Music Director CHRISTOPHER ZIMMERMAN shares his take on the music featured in the upcoming symphony concert, followed by a performance from our GUEST SOLOISTS or Concertmaster (first chair violinist) BENJAMIN SUNG.
Each event includes a brief acknowledgment of the sponsors, a drawing for free concert tickets, and an explanation of how to purchase UO discounted tickets online - all of this in an informal, cocktail party-style atmosphere.
Urban Overture attendees have the option to purchase a $10 ticket to the following weekend’s concert ($20-$28 off the original price).
