NDSU FESTIVAL CONCERT HALL
It's like chocolate AND salted caramel...it's like the beach AND the ski slopes...it's like a Bison football game AND a UND hockey game! (Wait, what?)
It's two of Fargo-Moorhead's all-time favorite guest soloists on the SAME program - CHEE-YUN and SERGEY!
Violinist Chee-Yun and cellist Sergey Antonov have each appeared twice with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony, wowing audiences with their riveting performances every time. Our season-opener will give each artist a chance to shine with a flashy solo with the orchestra in the first half of the concert, then they will join onstage to perform the beautiful and dramatic Double Concerto by Johannes Brahms.
Whether you choose the Saturday evening concert or the Sunday afternoon performance, you won't want to miss the free pre-concert talk 45 minutes before the concert begins. In the adjacent Beckwith Recital Hall, Music Director Christopher Zimmerman will host a fun and informal conversation with both Chee-Yun and Sergey, talking about their backgrounds, their hundreds'-year-old instruments, and the music you are about to hear.
New to the concert-going experience? Here's what to expect.
