"Music from Films" is the theme for the first concert of this 2009-10 season, "The Year of the Violin." And what better way to begin than by featuring our concertmaster Benjamin Sung, playing music from the stunning film, The Red Violin. Other film music favorites include Gershwin's "An American in Paris," from the film of the same name; the achingly exquisite "Adagio for Strings," featured in many films, including Platoon and The Elephant Man; plus the masterful Symphony No. 1, by Johannes Brahms.  Tickets

Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime event: SUPER STRING DAY with MIDORI!

Midori's concerts and activities in the Fargo-Moorhead area are part of her Orchestra Residencies Program, a collaborative project which aims to strengthen the ties of the American youth orchestra to its local professional orchestra, as well as to bolster relationships with performers, staff, and the community at large.
