The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony was selected by the Midori Foundation as one of only two orchestas in the nation to receive a week-long residency by this world-famous violinist and educator. All about Midori's Visit, Concerts and Super String Day (PDF)

During her week in Fargo-Moorhead, Midori will teach young and adult violinists in public master classes; coach ensembles; address the community in public forums; and perform as a soloist with the FMSO and FM Area Youth Symphonies. Midori's concerts and activities in the Fargo-Moorhead area are part of her Orchestra Residencies Program, a collaborative project which aims to strengthen the ties of the American youth orchestra to its local professional orchestra, as well as to bolster relationships with performers, staff, and the community at large.
