The FMSO seeks a qualified soloist to sing in Prokofiev's Alexander Nevsky, scheduled for performance on April 16 and 17, 2011, with rehearsals on the 14th and 15th. Please prepare Movement No. 6, "Field of the Dead," from Alexander Nevsky, and one additional work.
The work will be sung in Russian. Applicants must bring their own accompanists. Please submit inquiries regarding audition materials, as well as resumé and summary of performance experience, to the Personnel Manager, Joan Covington.
Auditions will be held during the week of March 8 to 14, day and time to be determined.
FMSO Roster Positions
Auditions for open roster positions and for substitutes and auxiliary players are held annually in the fall, at the beginning of the rehearsal series for the opening concert of the season. The dates for 2010 have not been established yet.
Candidates must be US citizens, or be otherwise eligible for employment in the United States.
